4 Things
Full Focus Planner
If you are anything like me you love yourself a good planner! I am a planner junkie. As I mentioned in my morning pages post I love writing. This includes the ever present daily to do lists. I am the operations manager for a Private Wealth Advisory firm. So as you can guess by the title, it means I juggle a lot of tasks daily as well as meetings. To keep up with my day to day life, I use the Full Focus planner. I like it because it includes an area for your “Daily Big 3” must do tasks for the day, along with other tasks you have as well as calls to make and emails to return. It also provides pages for your annual goals, quarterly previews, and weekly planning. I personally use this for day to day planning, and use a happy planner for my weekly/monthly plans.
2. Becoming Super Woman
Nicole Lapin is my soul sister. This woman speaks my language. I’m currently reading her book “Becoming Super Woman”. Nicole is a no holds barred, tell it like it is, boss! The book is essentially about the impossibly high expectations put on women. In our quest to “have it all”, we experience burn out and set ourselves up for failure by spreading ourself too thin. Constantly, we as women have to burn the candle at both ends as a means of keeping the career, the family, and our relationships healthy, all while balancing our kids’ backpacks in five inch heels. It’s a book about balance; putting yourself first. Nicole says it best, you have to put your oxygen mask on first before helping others. Around halfway through the book, I found myself feeling like I was being guided by a friend ; someone who understands my strugles. I immediately got on Amazon and ordered her two other books which are fittingly titled “Boss Bitch” and “Rich Bitch”.
I highly recommend this book for all my boss babes out there!
3. Slippers
Who doesn’t love a great pair of cute slippers? During the quarantine, I have traded in my heels for comfy slippers. It doesn’t hurt that these are super cute and the price is right!
If you are in need of new slippers, try this pair out. They won’t disappoint!
4. The Five Minute Journal
Gratitude is everything! I use the five-minute journal in the morning when I wake up and every night before bed. Each page offers an inspirational quote along with designated lines for three things you are grateful for that day, what would make your day great and a daily affirmation. Each page also ends with daily reflection, spotlighting three amazing things that happened to you that day and what could have made your day even better. It is a very simple daily habit to get into, as we all know complexity can be overwhelming. Cultivate an attitude of gratitude and watch your life begin to change.
